Norway’s Lofoten Islands
Norway’s Lofoten Islands
A fave of photographers and magazines, who’ve been banging this place’s drum for over a decade now. But seriously, is any everyday surfer out there seriously gonna sell a kidney to pay for an exorbitant surf safari in the far far north of Europe? Wonderful light and backdrops, crystal clear water and white sand beaches, fun left and right pointbreak surf maybe, but it’s way up in the Arctic Circle, pretty damn fickle and requires several flights, lots of rubber and saintly patience to score. Oh and it’s in perpetual darkness half the year…
