ARNAUD WINS ASP PRO JUNIOR TITLE IN NARRABEEN

France’s Alizee Arnaud continued that country’s recent champagne form at the ASP Pro Juniors Down Under by claiming the girls’ title today (which is actually tomorrow).
Despite losing in the semis in awful conditions to Zaffafricaaner Bianca Buidendaaaag, Arnaud claimed the title under the new two-leg format, when Laura Enever, who surfed some of earlier rounds in v small pants, lost to fellow Frenchie Justine Dupont. After her crowning, Arnaud said, “These weren’t my conditions but I am really pleased to have won this title finally. It’s long been a goal of mine to win the competition.”

Riot Grrrl Laura does her bit to crush a male-dominated western society’s objectification of womans.

In the boys side of competition, reigning champ France’s Max Huscenot is attempting to defend his crown in a Rd 2 that also features Euro shredders Nic von Rupp, Charles Martin and Marc Lacomare. None of the lads were planning on donning lingerie for their heats to curry favour from the male judges, although Nic von Rupp did once have a dream about surfing in the Volcom Pipe WQS in Borat’s mankini. For now though, he must knuckle down for a heat with California teenage sensation Kolohe ‘Brother’ Andino.
