Based out of the strategic Biscay seaside town of Hondarribia, overlooking the north coast of Spain to the west and French Basque Country to the north, Surf Europe photo contributor Pacotwo has racked up more motorway road toll expenses between Bilbao and Hossegor than literally anyone. But it’s been money well spent! Initially falling into photography while at uni in Segovia (about as far away from the shred as you can get in Spain) back in the late 90s, the Basque freelance photographer has since featured in pretty much every single surf magazine out there. Here, he looks back on some of his favourite shred haunts and photographic work along the Bilbao-to-Hossegor stretch of coast.
