Wallabi Point, NSW. Know much about it?
Well know this: O’Neill rider Ryan Hunt was surfing yesterday (wednesday) evening when a shark bit his left foot. The 20-year-old reckoned he’d accidentally (yeah, right…) stepped on the shark’s head after shredding a wave to the inside. “I was in waist-deep water and put my foot down. I thought it was a rock at first and then it latched on to my foot,” Ryan told Seven News.
Ryan said he had to boot the shark off, at which point it rudely charged at his legs. Apparently, sharks don’t like being attacked by humans, either.
Ryan being Australian, was typically understated, quipping, “It could’ve been a very large goldfish.”
Thats means there have been shark incidents in North Avoca, Byron Bay and Esperence, WA in the past two months.
