According to the Daily Mail (yikes !) Craig Warren was injured on the Gold Coast by a bearded hipster on a wooden mal who refused to wear a leash.

Warren warned surfers ‘that think they’re too cool’ are putting lives at risk. He was dragged to shore by his son, 9, and then rushed to hospital.

Jay Philips, pro shredder and Snapper Boardriders president said
‘Hipsters are a problem. They have long hair and beards – a lot of them are trying to live like the 60’s. But the 60’s are done, so just wear a leg rope.’
