Surf Europe Magazine Moves to Recycled Paper

Never before have surfers been so aware of the pending ecological issues threatening the planet. There are ever more green options available to the consumer. Flip flops made from biohemp and recycled bicycle tyres, even raw food vegan macrobiotic surfboard blanks.

In an effort to help protect and preserve our environment, Surf Europe is permanently switching to recycled paper. Although carbon-neutrality within the paper and printing industry is still a long way off, this is the first step in the right direction.

By moving to recycled paper, Surf Europe will be able to make a huge reduction in resources used to publish each issue. Producing recycled paper involves between 28-70% less energy consumption than virgin paper and uses less water.

Issue 53 is the first issue to be printed on 100% recycled paper, on sale now.
