Rip Curl European GromSearch 2007 – Get your Entry Forms!
Does your country have the best Waves? Does your Country have the best Grommets? Prove it in Rip Curl’s GromSearch series 2007! Following the success of the Rip Curl GromSearch over the last 4 years, Rip Curl’s Search for the best male and female grom’s is back bigger & stronger than ever kicking off at Rossnowlagh, Co Donegal, Ireland on the 28th & 29th April 07.
Rip Curl’s GromSearch series is all about giving both male & female surfers the chance to surf with their friends in a fun environment. Using a unique double elimination format also means that first time competitors have the chance to surf twice during the event and not be eliminated from the event after losing a first round heat.
Other GromSearch elements will include free goodie bags and event tee shirt for all groms plus professional coaching tips from qualified coaches plus advice from Rip Curl team riders such as Jayce Robinson, winner of the European Grom Search series 2005.
Divisions will include Under 16’s, 14’s & 12 yr olds with the winners of the under 16 divisions in both Boys and Girls categories winning a all expenses paid trip to compete in the GromSearch European finals held during the Rip Curl Boardmasters 5-star WQS in August.
In keeping with Rip Curl’s Rock attitude at all its major world wide events, Rip Curl have introduced the GROM ROCK’S COMP a battle of the bands style competition for budding musicians during the England stage of the tour. Five bands will be selected from all entries with the final band winning a slot to play a long side top bands acts at the Rip Curl Boardmasters Surf & Music Festival, in Newquay between the 6th and 12th of August 07.
