Gravis Footwear proudly welcomes Marlon Gerbrer to its team of professional surfers. The young Balinese surfer is part of the new wave of talent coming from the island and has been recognized internationally for his progressive style.
“We are stoked to have Marlon on the team,” says Simon Nicholls, Marketing Director. “He brings youth and international recognition to our crew, and not to mention, he surfs like a machine.”
At the young age of 24, the Indonesian native has established himself as one of the most talented surfers out of Bali in the past few years. Growing up on the world famous reef brakes of Kramas and ChuChucans, Marlon has had the opportunity to develop his surfing style and skills.
“I’m just so stoked to be a part of such a cool brand. It’s like a dream come true for me to be involved with guys like Benji, Riz, and JP Solberg – they’re all good buddies of mine – I’ve always wanted to be part of the Gravis family,” said Marlon.
Marlon joins Gravis’ diverse and talented family or surfers including David Rastovich, Rizal Tanjung, Kassia Meador, Benji Weatherly, Claire Bevilacqua, Sanoe Lake Pascal Stansfield and Kalani Robb and brings his own style and talent to the team. In addition to his growing surfing career, Marlon stays busy helping run his family’s business, Un’s Hotel, the ground zero surf hotel at Kuta Beach, as well as recent stint on the Indonesian version of the Bachelor.
