Kolohe Told To “Stay The Fuck Away From My Girlfriend” By TV Host

Things got a bit feisty during Channel [V] Australia’s recent coverage of the Australian Open, when presenter Danny Clayton issued a strongly-worded warning to Kolohe Andino live on air. Kolohe appeared on the cable and satellite channel in an interview broadcast live from Manly Beach, Sydney, after which Clayton, back in the studio, had the following to say: “I’ve got some tips for Kolohe too actually, that’s stay the fuck away from my girlfriend. I’ve seen the texts you’ve been sending her, and they’re making her feel uncomfortable.”

Blimey. Clayton’s girlfriend is 18-year old model Zoe Cross, with whom you may be familiar if you frequent the Stab website. What exactly did Kolohe say in his texts to make her feel so “uncomfortable”? We can only speculate. “I just spelt your name in a game of scrabble, but my dad said names are not allowed, so I had to settle for ‘cross’ on its own, which was a real cunt actually ‘cos ‘z’ is worth 10 points,” perhaps? Like I said, we can only speculate.

Kolohe has since come out and said there was nothing discomforting or inappropriate about the texts he had been sending her, and indeed it may be that the only one uncomfortable about their relationship was Clayton himself.

“When I first saw it I was pretty bummed,” Kolohe told Sydney’s Kiis FM. “It really questioned my character and it was completely blown out of proportion.

“I don’t want people thinking I was raised wrong and thinking I was creeping out a girl. The part where he says I’m making her feel uncomfortable… I was pretty bummed.”

A few days later he shed a little more light on the situation, saying: “I saw Zoe the day before Danny said what he did on air. He was there when she gave me a big hug. She didn’t introduce me to him, and I’m not sure why he didn’t come speak then.

“Either way though, I think the whole thing is funny. I’m here to surf and was happy with the Hurley Australian Open of Surfing.”

And well he might be, because Kolohe won the thing — his 2nd QS win of the year so far.  Watch the highlights here.
