24th – 26th April 2014 will see the first Annual Approaching Lines Festival hit the UK. Bringing to the Southwest a three-night extravaganza of surfing’s most hotly anticipated premieres, underground hits and award winning features, The Cinematic Surf Sessions is a celebration of the very best in UK and international surf filmmaking.
Hosted at Newquay’s Lighthouse Cinema and the iconic Poly in Falmouth the Approaching Lines Festival takes waveriding to the big screen in Cornwall’s heartlands, championing creativity, the films and the filmmakers. “We’re stoked to be hosting this specially curated slice surf cinema here in the southwest,” says Festival Director Chris Nelson. “We’ve been working with filmmakers across the globe to produce a hand picked selection of the year’s most exciting films from eye-widening shred-flicks featuring the world’s most progressive surfers to documentaries and tales of adventure that will stoke the fires for the season ahead. I can’t wait to see them played out on the big screen surrounded by an amped and enthusiastic crew!”
The Approaching Lines Festival is all about good vibes, good rides and good times – if you bring your stoke, they’ll bring the movies!
