Everything 80’s is so hot right now, including the territorial dispute between Argentina and the UK over The Falklands/Malvinas. Shredding squaddies have been filling their booties in uncrowded (except for penguins, seals, dolphins) Falkland lineups for years, while the Long bros and Surfing mag did a trip there a few years ago (see below). Located in South Atlantic and exposed to full Southern Ocean fury, the place is cold, hostile, barren – and surrounded by surf.

Still… the Malvinas are very unlikely to become the new Maldives.
