As in Europe, winter’s been winding down in Hawaii. There may be a couple more little late season North Pacific bumps but we’re unlikely see any of it and all on the North Shore will go quiet until next October/November.

But the Oakley House just made the most of some downtime to look back on the winter’s highlights and the throng of hard-charging North Shore specialists they housed this year. Running at over a lengthy 7 minutes, there appears to have been no shortage of waves in Hawaii this year, with the Pipeline Masters and end of year run of swell of particular note.

Counting North Shore personalities such as Bruce Irons, Sebastian Zietz, Koa Smith and Makua Rothman, you see that Oakley’s pool of talent on Oahu runs deeper than most. Shawn Walsh’s giant baz at Jaws is worth watching out for too.
