Cape Town, South Africa is one of the world’s big wave meccas, with a whole variety of outer reefs and open ocean bombies to chose from but one of the real gems to stand out goes by the name of Sunset, not to be confused with the North Shore’s Sunset of course. A perfect A-fram peak located right in the middle of a bay only a few hundred metres from South Africa’s better known Dungeons. With a long interval 22 second swell on tap, last Saturday apparently witnessed some of the best big waves of the year out there.
