Koa Smith, Billy Kemper and Koa Rothman were in Mexico not so long ago, along with every other big wave nutcase on the planet, but their plan of attack led them not to Puerto Escondido but to Pascuales, another thumping beach break just along the coast. They not only eschewed the crowds, however, but also the traditional paddle-in method, opting instead for a jet ski propelled approach — not that they didn’t give paddling a go. “After paddling for a while,” Kemper told Surfer Mag, “we realized using a ski would be the difference between catching one big bomb on a 9’0″ and having a good session or catching a hundred of them and having the best session of your life.” Hence the above video: the session of their lives, presented by LastNameFirst.tv.
