The world famous Copacabana Beach — usually a barely surfable 1ft close-out, but occasionally on a big swell it roars to life and becomes….. a barely surfable 6ft close-out. Probably not surfable at all unless you’re Kelly Slater or John John Florence — or commentator Ross Williams, who completes the three man heat. See the dude at 10 seconds who says “Kelly’s mean, John’s nice”? That be Peter King, the man responsible for Hurley’s #Tournotes series — which means there’s probably some better footage on its way.
