This newly released footage was captured last September during filming for the movie with a crew of surfers cum stunt doubles that included Bruce and Dylan. Hollywood pulled a sneaky trick beforehand, spreading a rumour that they’d acquired exclusive rights to the Chopes line-up for the day when in fact they’d done no such thing. But in the end there was still a crew of locals out, including 17-year old Matahi Drollet, who stole the show with this Big Wave Award-winning, Surfer cover-bagging bomb.
