Putting an end to Andy Irons run at four consecutive Quiksilver Pro France titles in the semis and taking out fellow Australian Mick Fanning in the final, Parko celebrates his first WCT win in over two years and is back in the world title race for 2006.
Parko steps up to the plate against 3-time Quik Pro France Champion Andy Irons. Parko: “I had one of those days where I always felt like I’d do well. I picked a couple of really good waves and surprised myself. I knew that once I was on my wave my surfing would be really good. I guess I was in the rhythm today.”
