PE and Higson definitely didn’t have a great game of petanque at lunchtime today in a carpark near Bidart in glorious 25 degree sunshine, because we’re actually on deadline today for SE. But if we had, I would have come back from trailing early on to schooling him 13-11 with a masterful display of technique, focus and determination on a tricky, gravelly surface.

Of course, having once again callously stood Sylvie up over the weekend without remorse, Higson can only expect more of the same kind of thorough dressing-downs, Petanque or otherwise, to follow.
