BEST SURFCAMP IN SW FRANCE

Anybody out there fancy a surf trip to SW France this autumn?

If I were looking for somewhere to stay in the Hossegor/Capb region, I’d look no further than Paul’s Place, the Shifting Sands Surf Camp.

The house is set in quiet forest in Labenne just south of Capbreton. You can check it all out on the website. www.shiftingsandssurfcamp.com

The camp caters for surfers of all levels, from novice to pro, but with autumn coming, usually your more experienced surfers start thinking about heading down to SW France for those incredible shorebreak barrels.

Surfing quality waves is usually pretty good for your surfing, as is surfing with better surfers. Many of the traveling pros stay at Paul’s including Neco Padaratz, Jihad Khodr (who won the WQS here last year while staying at the house), Mick Campbell (who won both French WQS events while staying at Paul’s in 06) and Josh Kerr.

There’s even the use of boards and wetsuits for free this year, along with the balance and training equipment. There are new epoxy longboards, funboards and mini mals, along with a quiver of Hydroflex boards if you fancy riding something different.

Give Paul a call, check out the site and get yourself booked in for autumn. Paul: +33604184560 +33559456670

Happy campers.

Jersey Paul himself sets up at one of his secret sandbars..

Robbie Page was back in town this winter, staying at Paul’s and throwing buckets on the Hydroflex
