How you started? It’s all thanks to my step dad and his magic surfboards. I skateboarded from a young age but only took up surfing when I was 11. As soon as I could stand up I fell in love with the sport and haven’t stopped surfing since.
What’s it like where you’re from? In summer the waves in England are regularly small and weak, but as soon as winter hits it can pump. The main thing is that you need everything to be perfect like tide, wind, swell direction and of course the weather. In winter it’s like, freezing cold, obviously. But I love home, I wouldn’t change it one little bit.
Why you surf? I just love the feeling when you take off and you’re midway down the face deciding what you’re going to do. I surf because it’s somewhere I can go and not worry about anything. It’s a piece of perfection in an imperfect world.
When you’re not? I go and visit my best friends Archie and Harvey, skateboard a little but you can usually just catch me chilling on the beach.
Plans? To compete on the European Pro Junior tour, do the King of the Groms, go to the World Junior Games in France. I’d also love to go back to Hawaii and Australia and just generally have fun with my surfing so I’m able to take it to the next level.
Thanks: To my sponsors and the Bells for giving me the opportunities to follow the path I currently lead.
