THE WAVE GARDEN COMES TRUE

Ok, so the Roxy Pro organisers will not actually relocate the competition to the Basque Country’s Wave Garden wave pool but, laid off by a seriously flat Atlantic ocean, world tour female surfers attending the event will have at least found plenty solace yesterday at the newly improved and much hyped artificial wave pool.

Steph Gilmore, Sally Fitzgibbons, Lee-Ann Curren as well as contest director Lisa Andersen and event commentator Rosy Hodge supposedly all hit the artificial wave pool for some lay day fun. An edit of the day’s outing should be available soon so, even if the contest doesn’t run, online viewers should get to see the world’s best in action in some form or other.
