The long-awaited return of the world’s best surfers to the iconic lefthander of Cloudbreak was finally made reality over the weekend and despite all the anticipation the show did not disappoint, with solid six-to-eight foot pumping barrels offering competitors a true return to Dream Tour form. Flores made it straight to Round 3. Pires eliminates Kolohe Andino in their Round 2 match-up after negotiating what was considered by many as the heaviest barrel on Day 1 of competition.
