TOBY ATKINS READIES FOR CHANCE TO TAKE THE BPSA UK TOUR 2006
Hot Tuna team rider Toby Atkins is looking forward to this weekend and the final of the BPSA UK Tour, the Gul Newquay Open, to be held at Fistral Beach 11th-12th November.
Toby goes into this event currently in 7th place, aided by a win at the Croyde Open at the beginning of the year. A win here would provide a chance of taking the title, provided the other contenders fall in appropriate rank. It’s an outside chance, but with his optimistic approach, Toby is committed to doing his part in vying for a contest win.
Toby said: “Its gonna be pretty tough with all the quality on tour but that doesn’t mean I can’t go out with a bang, I just wanna go out there and win the last event! You’re only as good as your last result!”
Also taking place over the weekend is the Freerange Sports Optics UK Surf Awards. Last year Toby won the Surfers’ Surfer Award, and all going well this year he should be in the running for a few more…
