Surf Hardware International is pleased to announce the signing of Brazilian Adriano De Souza to the FCS Test Drive Team. The agreement will see Adriano working closely with the design and marketing team on FCS fins. Having used FCS fins for many years, Adriano was keen to officially sign on and continue his close working relationship.

At just 20 years of age Adriano has an amazing competition record that includes a World Junior Title and a World Qualifying Series Title. His explosive and progressive style of surfing is comparable to the likes of Taj Burrow, Andy Irons and the great Kelly Slater. In only his second year on the WCT, and with some impressive results under his belt, Adriano now carries the future of Brazilian surfing on his shoulders and is labelled as a future world title contender.

On signing the agreement Adriano said: “I’m really happy to have the support from FCS. I’ve used the products for a long time and it’s great to work closely with a company to get the products I need.”

One of the most technical and analytical surfers in the world, Adriano is always looking to get an edge on his competitors and progress his skills. The FCS system allows him to explore these possibilities by customizing his equipment and experimenting with different fins.

As the agreement was signed SHI brand ambassador Richie Lovett said, “Adriano is one of the most electrifying surfers in the world. He puts a great deal of thought into his equipment and that’s something that we love to support and help him with. He’s a dogmatic competitor in the water and a real gentleman on land. It’s these qualities that will no doubt see Adriano go all the way to the top.”
