ARITZ ARANBURU, Team Quiksilver’s Basque surfer, this weekend officially qualified for the world’s elite professional surfing competition, next year. It’s a considerable achievement, as Aritz is the first ever Basque (and Spanish) surfer to win a place among the cream of world surfing, which Europeans have struggled to break into until now.
