Spacejunk and Quiksilver Present Surfboard Art Show

‘Art On Foam’ is an exhibition created by SpaceJunk and supported by Quiksilver, which brings together international Board Culture artists whose common denominator is using a surfboard as a medium for creation.

Twenty-two visual artists, known for their commitment to the worlds of surfing, skating and snowboarding, applied their creativity and personality to real surfboards in order to bring this exhibition to life as it prepares, after touring via Australia and China this spring, to travel throughout Europe between the 1 June and 25 October 2007.

SpaceJunk is a non-profit association whose mission is to increase the renown of the work of artists related to Board Culture. It highlights the talent and creativity of visual artists, painters, sculptors and photographers who are all mad about surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding. Since the first exhibition at the Roxy Jam in July 2006, Spacejunk has been closely involved with Quiksilver, which encouraged the creation of the ‘Art on Foam’ exhibition.

The “Art on Foam” artists include: Will Barras (UK) – Flying Fortress (Germany) – Mr Jago (UK) – Dave Kinsey (USA) – François Lartigau (France) – Lucy McLauchlan (UK) – Jean Linnhoff (France) – Reg Mombassa (Australia) – Adam Neate (UK) – Randy Noborikawa (USA) – Marcie O’Neill (Australia) – Travis Parr (USA) – Jeff Raglus (Australia) – Nicolas Thomas (France) – Tinho (Brazil) – Peter Webb (Australia) – Jono Wood (UK) – Ozzy Wright (Australia) – Caia Koopman (USA) – Andy Howell (USA) – Mike Parillo (USA) – Andrew Pommier (Canada)
