With all the discussion about the size of the waves ridden last Monday at Nazare (we’ll just settle for really fucking big) it’s nice to see a fresh angle on the wave. Ze Pedro Alvarez sent this image in on Facebook saying, “Here you have the “other” perspective of Nazaré North Canyon taken about half an hour after Carlos Burle may have broken the world record. I was about two miles away from the old fort when I took this photo, and the wave, well, the wave is even farther away.” Who knows the size of this wave, but with the fort sitting at 80 metres or 240 feet above sea level, it looks bloody big. You get the feeling Carlos’ wave won’t be a record for all that long.
