In keeping with the GoldCoast Oceanfest ethos of developing the grassroots of the beach sports culture, the 2007 surfing event will be the ONeill Gromfest at Oceanfest from 16-17 June, 2007.

For the first time since 2001, young up and coming surfers will be invited to take to the main stage and showcase their skills. With the Braunton School surf team recently making it three British Schools titles in a row the locals will aim to own their home zone of Croyde Bay, Devon.

So if you reckon you could be a GoldCoast winner, and you are aged under 16 (as of 1st January 2007), then now is your chance to earn that coveted title. There will be limited numbers in each age group so keep your eyes fixed on the Oceanfest web site for entry forms coming soon.

All entries must be in by the 13th June 2007.
