Friday 12th of June see’s the start of the Women’s event which is going to be very exciting. The talent at the Saltrock Open was second to none, and the Gul Night surf is set to attract the same high level of female surfers. The UK Pro Surf Tour attracts female surfers from all over the world making a very exciting competition to watch.

The Gul night surf has already seen a huge number of entrants, you will see competitors that may not compete at other events, this is the attraction that Fistral beach has, being the UK’s best know surfing location. Here we have the best chance of picking up swell and producing world class waves for the weekend.

Gul’s Brand Manager Jake Patterson comments, “At Gul we are going to great lengths to support women’s surfing in the UK. Female surfers in the water have grown rapidly over the last 5 years and the standard is out of this world. We are fortunate that we sponsor one of the UK’s best surfing stars Beth Mason, she is a very powerful surfer and a great ambassador for Gul and female surfing.

This year Gul team Ambassador Celine Gerhert will also be competing and we see the debut year of the current university champion and Gul Ambassador Amy Brock-Morgan on the UK Pro Surf Tour. We are very excited to have this strong female team competing on the prestigious tour”

The Groms will start on the Sunday and it is going to be a very exciting showdown. The future British talent will battle it out for the title of the most exciting European surf event this year. With strong competition from young male and female competitors it is set to be a memorable event.

“The Standard of our young British surfers is higher than it’s ever been and the manoeuvres that some of these youngsters are doing are making the older more experience surfers eye’s water! With talent like this and the continued growth of surfing there will be more world class Brits over the next 10 years than we can

imagine. At Gul we have always been on the look out for the best new talent to help progress and nurture there skill, and supply them with top quality product. This year we are looking for new groms to sponsor and I am hopeful that we can sign some new talent over the Night surf weekend” (Jake Patterson Gul Brand Manager)
