Animal, the UK’s leading freesports brand, is pleased to announce sponsorship of the Relentless Boardmasters in association with Vans in Newquay from 5th -9th August.

Staying true to its watch heritage and to mark the launch of the awesome new Animal watch range, the brand has signed up to the event as official timing partner, and will be adding to the action with the Animal Relentless mountain bike tour and also hosting the Animal Surf Academy Girls Only days there for the first time.

Newquay local and Animal pro team rider Alan Stokes will be competing and hoping to find the same form he showed to become UKPST tour leader at the Fistral Night Surf event in June, and expects to get some good support from his home crowd.

The Animal Surf Academy Girls Only days will be encouraging the girls to get a taste of the action, introducing them to the water to surf with Animal team riders. The girl surf team will include big wave surf girl Easkey Britton, World Wave Kitesurf champ Kirsty Jones, reigning Welsh Champ Gwen Spurlock and UK surf girl Nicola Bunt.

The ASA Girls Only days are running on 7, 8 & 9 August and will include a surf lesson with the Animal team riders, yoga stretching, equipment session and then checking out all the action at the Relentless Boardmasters in association with Vans. The ASA Girls Only day costs £35 per person to attend and includes a great goodie bag to take home.

The Animal Relentless Bike Tour starring bike legend Martyn Ashton and dirt jump extraordinaire, Sam Pilgrim, will be wowing the crowds at the Watergate Bay music festival with an extensive bag of trials and dirt jump tricks. From Sam’s 360 tail whips and flip whips to Martyn’s back flips, this is one not to miss.
