Scheduled to run back-to-back with the CT event in Peniche, the inaugural edition of the ASP Prime Cascais Billabong Pro will run just down the coast at Praia de Carcavelos, Cascais from October 21-27.

With all the pros in town for the Rip Curl Pro, word is the majority of them (like nearly 20) will be competing in the Prime event either for fun, prize money (there’s a handsome bonus 50 grand for the overall winner of the Portuguese Waves Series) or hoping for a last ditch effort at some crucial ranking points towards qualification for next year’s tour.
