You may remember a not-entirely-serious article we published several days ago suggesting that Tyler Wright had ridden the longest wave ever — an 850km long wave, in fact — during a heat in the Australian Boardriders Battle. This was after an erroneous World Surf League headline claimed that Wright had injured herself on the rocks at Snapper, despite taking off hundreds of miles away at Cronulla, where the Boardriders Battle was being held. Her injuries — minor, thankfully — were actually sustained when she was washed into the Cronulla ocean pool and her leash became entangled in the chain fence surrounding it. So, anyway, this is the footage of Tyler caught between a rock and a hard place/taking a dip ’cause she couldn’t handle the heat/kept on a tight leash etc…
