Meet Mike Coots, who lost his right leg to a tiger shark when he was 18, but isn’t the slightest bit sour; he describes the incident as the greatest thing that ever happened to him, and has the insight to realise that while the ocean has taken much from him, it’s given back to him so much more. He employs the two-fingered salute not in a Noel Gallagher sort of way but as a mark of deep respect.
