Rules for the 2011 King Millenium Graphic Design Competition

King Millenium, the European surf charter boat company operating in the Meantwai Isl. since 2004, has decided to change its look so is launching the following competition:

Items to submit:

Each entry must include 3 designs:

(1) A new layout of the King Millenium home page (www.surfingmentawai.com);

(2) A new King Millenium ad for magazine (A4 format);

(3) A design to be used on a King Millenium t-shirt.

Rules

-Each entry –consisting of the 3 items described above- shall be emailed to [email protected], as .jpgs each with a maximum size of 1MB.

-The e-mail shall include full name, phone number and e-mail address.

-It is advised that the 3 items share the same visual identity. Each entry will be judged as a whole.

-Each person can submit as many entries as he/she wants as long as each one is sent in a different e-mail.

Dates:

-All entries must be submitted before Monday January 24, 2011.

-The winner will be announced on Sunday January 30, 2011 on King Millenium’s facebook profile (www.facebook.com/King.Millenium).

Entrance requirements:

-Minimum age: 18 years old.

Prize:

-There’s a single prize for the sole winner: a trip for one aboard the King Millenium II worth 2300€.

-The prize does not include travelling to/from Padang (Sumatra, Indonesia), nor the extras (see King Millenium’s site)

-The winner has until the end of 2012 to take up the trip, although he/she will have to accommodate with available slots on the dates he/she chooses.

-The winner shall never get the monetary value of the trip instead. But he/she can give the prize away to a third person as long as he/she informs King Millenium.

-If the trip is not taken up by January 1 2013, it is understood that the winner gives up the prize definitively (except in case of force majeure).

Observations:

-All entries must use the current King Millenium logo. E-mail [email protected] for a hi-res version of it.

-Use only photos/images that are free to use or that you have been granted the rights to use. King Millenium will understand that all the graphic elements in the entries are free to use and shall not be held responsible for use of rights infringement.

-All the photos and images on King Millenium’s website (www.surfingmentawai.com) are free to use for this competition.

-The mere fact to enter the competition means that the contestant hands over his/her work -for its use by King Millenium- without any payback other than the prize if their entry ends up winning.

-The winner shall provide, within a week of being informed- the hi res version of his/her entries. He/she might be required to collaborate and modify the winning designs for a better use.

-The simple act of entering this competition implies full agreement to its rules.
