‘This and Nothing Else’ is an all-new series from RedBull, which will profile four unique athletes. Four men who work blue collar jobs, so that they can live and surf – that and nothing else.

Their work supports their surfing, if only modestly, and it enables them to chase down and surf massive swells around Europe. Surfing is the constant in their lives, the one thing – no matter what happens – that will continue to be there. It’s part of who they are and their passion for it has driven them to achieve extraordinary things.

Peter Conroy, who you’ll meet in this episode, works in Dublin as a fire fighter, and after bills and rent are paid, the man has about €50 for the month – which he puts towards surfing (i.e. fixing the ski, repairing dings, gas, travel, etc). Conroy’s deep passion, some might even say obsession, for chasing big waves and hunting massive barrels at one of Ireland’s scariest slabs is awe-inspiring if not jaw-dropping. As you’ll see, Conroy’s is a world where there is surfing and nothing else.
