From its early days in San Sebastian, Nixon’s Surf Challenge has transformed into a more and more adventurous mission and this year was no different with the 14th edition heading to Russia’s Far-East for a camping expedition along the desolated volcanic peninsula of Kamchatka.
Changeable weather conditions were always likely to pose a challenge but with decent swell on tap all week surfers were able to make the most of a few sunny windows. Other competitors included Benjamin Sanchis, Jonathan Gonzalez, Eric Rebière, Marlon Lipke, Marc Lacomare, Gony Zubizaretta, Vincent Duvignac, Kepa Acero and William Aliotti
