With everyone looking to get a feel for the lineup and as much practice as possible in before the main event was called on Monday morning, most of the Top 34 paddled out as day broke at Teahupoo yesterday morning. Anything to dust off the nerves after a restless night on listening to the thunderous sets upload on the reef.

With the swell picking up faster than most expected, what started out as an easy-going warm up session soon transformed into a full-on Top 34 froth fest. Watch for Parko and Nathan Florence’s epic rides, Ricardo Dos Santos beyond-vertical drop, not to mention Jack Robinson’s and Mick Fanning’s heavy wipeouts.
