If you’ve been keeping an eye on the webcast of the Rip Curl Pro Portugal over the last week, you’ll know that the waves in that part of the world have been smallish, inconsistent, wind-affected, underwhelming.

But there is another Portugal out there folks! A parallel Portugal that exists outside of webcast land, and where the waves have been pumping. Slater and Fanning were transported there quite by accident inside one of the contest site portaloos, and when they arrived they traded bombs with nary a soul around. Slater looked sharp as fook. Fanning too, but not just sharp — also exciting, daring, more…fruity! Is it just us or is he more fun to watch when he’s not competing?
