The defending title holder and home favourite shares some of his history at the world-class right-hand pointbreak.
With the ASP world tour returning to the much missed dream tour location tomorrow, Jordy Smith shares his personal connection with his homeland and one of the world’s best waves. From a surf stoked Durban kid who surfed J-bay for the first time aged 7 to back-to-back Jeffrey’s Bay titles in 2010 and 2011, Jordy will face off Owen Wright and Jadson Andre in his Round 1 heat as he kicks off his hotly anticipated J-Bay campaign for 2014.
