Armageddon! Historic Paddle Sesh At Jaws

Pea’hi was on positively apocalyptic form this January 15th past.

No doubt you’ve seen Aaron Gold grappling with what most agree is the biggest wave ever ridden. Perhaps you’ve also seen Kelly Slater dripping with steez the following day in slightly more manageable conditions (he’d been at Waimea the day before).

Here though is a more comprehensive overview of proceedings, courtesy of PureDIGITALMaui, above, and , below. Shane Dorian and Kai Lenny were on fire, obviously. Pedro Calado was also good. Aaron Gold scored the headlines and plaudits and deservedly so, but arguably Ian Walsh was the overall standout; the closing barrel below is as technically demanding as they come.
