If you do venture down to your local multiplex to watch the new Point Break, spare a thought, as you contemplate the shite on the screen before you, for poor James Holmer Cross, who endured the worst wipeout of his life in order to help get it there.

“I, erm, shit me self,” smirks the Australian sheepishly following the filming sesh at Pedra Branca, 20 miles south of Tasmania. “Yeah, literally. It was a pretty heavy wipeout. I actually thought I was gone on that one. I blacked out for a couple of seconds, and then I kind of fought it . . .”
