This winter Basque ripper Indar Inanue chose to hit up a handful of more alternative surf destinations, travelling through East Asia for the first time. Starting out in Japan, the Basque ripper then headed to Taiwan before finishing up in the Philippines. This the second chapter sees Indar explore Taiwan.
“A real surprise of a destination. I’d never heard about much surf on the island, and we had very little time to find out where to go. But everyone we encountered immediately recommended we head to the south east corner of the island and so off we went,” recounts a stoked Indar. “What we found was a spectacular landscape, 2000 metre high mountains dropping straight down to the beach, tropical palm trees and plenty of interesting culture. Not to mention miles of empty beachbreak peaks that we had all to ourselves!”
