With the last run of intense North Atlantic storm activity taking a more southerly track and subsequently blasting the Bay of Biscay with bad winds and giant storm surf, French up-coming trio Marc Lacomare, Dimitri Ouvré and PV Laborde decided to jump ship and head south. You guessed it baby, Morocco! With sustained long-interval swells travelling sufficiently south to escape the storms’ unruly epicentres, Morocco has enjoyed one of it’s most consistent run of rippable surf in years. Not to mention the North African attraction of a much-needed mid-winter shot of vitamin D. Hence why it’s one of our top picks in our recent 8 Winter Escapes feature.
