Saturday morning wasn’t the good time to go and buy your week end baguette at Leclerc in Capbreton. Two guardian civils were shoot down in the carpark (one dead and the other with a serious head injury) by some ETA activists in front of the shoppers. They ran off, took an hostage in St Sever, and drove off toward Bordeaux. the hostage, a woman, was later released unharmed. Then hundreds of Gendarme poured in, locked the area, blocking roads quickly and using two choppers to tract the terrorist’s vehicule. So far, they haven’t catch them…
Meanwhile, the big swell predicted hit the coast and this morning it is a massive reshuffle of the sand banks. 7 metres swell easy with winds blowing from the west and predicted to go stronger for monday. No tow in teams in the vicinity due to the onshore conditions. just hope that this huge maelstrom will create something good for the Xmas period, a nice long wally left or right to finish off the year in style!
