It’s been a full on day for every team with round 2 for the under 16’s and under 18’s and also the first round of the girls was up and running on the south podium. Another tough day for team GB as myself, Toby Donachie and Josh Piper were eliminated from the main event and now have to surf the grueling repercharge. O’Neill’s Tassy Swallows surfed a good heat today against an inform Brazilian and another from Ecuador in the last few minutes she took a nice right and got 4 turns to the beach earning her a good score and advancing into round two. Also Karma Worthington had a good heat and also advanced into the second round.

As the event goes on the standouts become ever clearer as was proved today with all of the favourites producing high heat totals and passing through their heats. The most blinding performance of the day goes to Tamaroa Mccomb in the under 16’s for a mental display of power surfing.
