The trials for the 2014 Billabong Pipemasters in Memory of Andy Irons, known as the Men’s Pipe Invitational (32 Pipe specialists, $100K prize purse) ran in solid conditions at Pipe Tuesday 9th Dec.

At the end of the day, four surfers are still standing, going for two slots into the main event. JOB, Reef McIntosh, Hank Gaskell and Landon McNamara.

“I like it like this,” said Jamie O’ Brien. “It’s a little more northerly – the lefts tend to stand up and you can backdoor the whole thing. It’s more playful than when it’s more west.”
