The Billabong Pro Tahiti didn’t code red, purple or brown this year. It was perhaps more of code light pink. At one point, it looked like the Swatch Girls Pro France mighta had bigger surf… But with one spellunkingly pretty if not huge day allowing the world’s finest a fair bit of tunnel time, Timo kicked his long frame into the zone and got some fish-eye love.

“There was that one pretty good day,” the lensman put it, in characteristic succinct fashion. “Other than that, it kinda sucked.”
