Paddling Gloves

Again there is a fine line between genius and idiocy. In theory paddling gloves could have revolutionized one of the dullest and most important part of surfing, paddling. Through increasing surface area, the gloves were supposed to push more water and add up to 25 per cent paddling power. They may have actually done that, however they also made you feel like you were paddling through quicksand.

Mr X, Glen Winton, combines front foot deck grip and gloves. He also rode quadfins in the ’80s, and we know how silly they turned out to be.
