We’ve been trawling the net and found a few fairly vicious, yet mainly humorous, sites that might be a good edition to the Firefox Bookmark bar. Kook Of The Day is a fairly simple idea, but brilliantly executed. All you have to to do is see a kook, take a photo of said kook and submit it to the kook lovers at the Tumblir site. As as example of the type of kooks they are looking for, here is a couple of examples from just the past week.

Elsewhere Lol-Surf! is back after a 12 months hiatus, using very little words and crude photoshop techniques to poke fun at the surfing world. Of course often photoshop isn’t needed, and Lol-surf manages to find some of the most absurdly real images that need no doctoring whatsoever. A couple of examples below show that whether you think the site holds a mirror to surfing or simply fires some cheap shots, either way it makes us laugh.

Finally Runamuk Visuals offers a straight artyish take on surf, skate and action sports culture, although we think their “No Need For Words” (see below) blog posts featuring very attractive females wearing very little clothing has been a big driver in their hits. Still, always worth a look for a commercial free look at surfing culture.
