Tomorrow I’m taking a camera and my favourite jotter pad to interview Gabe and Lauren Davies of Waveriders fame. If you’ve seen this epic production, or wish to find out what goes on in the making of such a film, or just want to know how big a big wave is, e-mail your questions ([email protected]), and I shall endeavour to bring you all the answers next week.
For more about the film read on, and check out the footage:
Many of you will have heard the hype and will no doubt be clenching your buttocks in anticipation of the chance to see the film, written by Joel Conroy and Lauren Davies. Focusing on the Irish surf scene, it takes a look at the roots of the worldwide surfing phenomenon, and the epic big wave riding going down on its shores.
Waveriders has been five years in the making, with some of the best surfers in the UK and Ireland, and a load of talent from overseas, such as the legend that is Kelly Slater, and Chris Malloy, director of Brokedown Melody.
